Master's Racing Comes Back to NJ

For all the parents, coaches and anyone over the age of 18 that has an interest in ski racing, NJSRA is happy to announce that Master's racing will once again be hosted in our area.

Master's racing is perfect for the adult who never raced and always wondered what it is like, the ex-racer wanting to see gates again and any adult who just wants to have fun on the hill.NJSRA will be hosting two Mid Atlantic Master's GS races on Feb 24-25th at Mountain Creek (see the NJSRA schedule): the Sunday race being named the NJSRA Master's GS Cup with special awards for certain categories. It looks to be a weekend of great fun for adults and we hope you all consider attending. Additionally, Master's racers are all welcome and encouraged to register for any Open NJSRA U16-U21+ Race. Also, Mid Atlantic Master's, the divisional Master's race organizer in our area of the country, has a full schedule of Master's races and events throughout NY, NJ and PA.Training opportunities are available for Master's racers at Mount Peter, through the USSA program and at Mountain Creek through the USSA program and Monday Night Adult Training. There will also be a one day Master's GS clinic on Friday, February 23rd at Mountain Creek for anyone interested in training on the same hill as the following weekends race.We encourage all adults who are interested or even just wondered what it is like to run gates to join us for training and the races, we hope to make this a successful event and bring it back to NJSRA next year.Come on everyone, this is your chance to get off the sidelines and get in the action: you'll love it.

Our Mission

“The New Jersey Ski Racing Association is the governing body for U.Ski and Snowboard alpine ski racing in New Jersey. Its membership is comprised of competitors, parents, coaches, race officials, and those interested in being involved in U.Ski and Snowboard racing in New Jersey. NJSRA is responsible for qualifying races and administering state quotas for racers who want to compete in out of state events. Representing New Jersey at Eastern Region meetings, it acts as the communication link between the state's U.Ski and Snowboard ski racing clubs. NJSRA is dedicated to providing programs for young aspiring ski racers. We hold true values by instilling confidence, courage, character, and commitment to becoming the best you can. NJSRA was founded in 1980 to provide training and competition programs for young ski racers, NJSRA has over 400 kids that train with determination and passion. Many will continue with the sport through college for fun and some to even to the National level. NJSRA is also committed to growing the sport of ski racing and building awareness throughout our communities.”
